Moving the peonies

The mandated location of the new septic system
put it right smack in the middle one of the nicest parts
of the lawn - a 75' rectangular courtyard bordered
by over 100 peony bushes.  These bushes are close
to 30 years old with rootballs the size of a bushel basket.
In July '98, we moved most of them to a temporary
garden.  Phil agreed to it mostly because he got to
spend a whole weekend playing with the backhoe.
