2008 Welfare Artist Quilt

 

 

Designed and made by Kathy Welsh, this absolutely gorgeous throw-size quilt is completely handmade and one of a kind!   It measures 46" long by 38" wide, just the right size for a throw, baby quilt or wall hanging.  It has a rod pocket in the back for hanging.  

This year's theme is "Over The Moon" and features the fanciful logo of the 2008 National Specialty show - a rough and a smooth Chow leaping over a crescent moon against a field of gold stars. The background fabric is a deep blue with a moon and stars design. 

The quilt will be raffled on April 24th at the 2008 Chow Chow Club, Inc.'s National Specialty Show in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.  You do not need to be present at the show to win.   Almost all of our past quilt winners have bought their tickets online.  

Proceeds from the quilt raffle go to the CCCI Welfare Fund.  The Fund helps with the medical expenses of homeless Chow Chows awaiting adoption.  For more information on the CCCI Welfare Committee and the Welfare Fund, click here.   Our 2006 artist quilt brought in almost $3,500!
