"Chowder" Ventura:  Canine Rescue And Adoption has a red male Chow Chow with a wonderful personality for adoption.  "Chowder" is 3 years old, neutered, housebroken, gentle, affectionate, playful, and outgoing.  He gets along well with most dogs but not cats.  He loves walks and car rides.  The rescue says he has "the best smile ever"!  For more information, 805-652-1001 or visit their website.  (12/13/2007)

Cynthia adopted "Raven" in 2003 from the Ventura County Animal Shelter in Camarillo after seeing our adoption listings.  Here's a note that Cynthia sent us in November 2005:

"Today, November 17th is her re-birthday, as she has been with me for 2 years now.  Here is an updated photo. From the first day she arrived, she just made herself right at home.  I love her so much and am so thankful that she is in my life.  Just thought you might want to hear another ~Happy Ending~ story."
